Fan photos

Some of the photos we use in “Do It Again” are professional shots licensed from clip services, either companies directly representing a photographer or the almighty Getty Images. Then there are the fan shots we were fortunate to borrow, some of which made it into our final cut, some of which remain in my hard drive.

These are cool photos, images captured in the days before everybody had a camera phone or Flip cam, back when getting a good photograph meant hauling (or smuggling) your camera into an arena.

In that spirit, here are a few images from John Kolff. The first two are from a 1972 concert in Amsterdam. The second two are from a performance of “Soap Opera” in London in 1975.

Ray Davies had that same hat when he performed at the annual Kinkfest in your film.
